Toshiba has announced a 13.3″ tablet called the Excite 13 which is set to be the largest tablet. I can’t decide if that’s good or bad. I certainly think the 7-8″ tablets are just too small, but is a 13.3″ too big? The 1600×900 resolution is good and I certainly can think of a number of reasons that would be useful. But for some tasks that I use a tablet for, like reading an ebook (is it too heavy at 2.2lbs?) might not work well with this. With a 13.3″ screen, it certainly may not be so portable anymore. Still a bigger screen is usually a good thing and if Toshiba can deliver on a good battery life (it claims 13 hours), this might be work a look. It looks like its only for the US market currently and hasn’t started to ship yet.
