The Vaio Duo Slider is one of Sony’s new Tablet/Laptops that will be out with Windows 8. I’ve been waiting 6 months to buy a new laptop because Windows 8 is pretty much going to revolutionize the laptop market with most makers set to introduce touchscreen laptops. I can’t wait to see all the different options. This one by Sony comes with a sliding keyboard which in many ways resembles the idea/design of the Microsoft Surface Tablet. You can use the laptop as a tablet like device with all the touchscreen options, or slide out the keyboard for a more traditional laptop fell. A 11.6″ screen, i3/i5/i7 options, and additional storage/memory choices would indicate Sony is quite serious about getting the product to appeal to a wide range of users (from casual to business) given so many choices. I do hope the construction is good because some of the Vaio laptops are a little too “plastic” for my liking. Anyway, I can’t wait for Windows 8 and to see more options for laptops.
